Tyler turns 2 years old on June 16th so we had a “little” family birthday party for him.

Summer is here. We looked at our options for the kids this summer and as it turned out there isn’t much out there for our age kids and what is out there is really expensive.
In talking with the Kuletos and Konolds, we realized we could have our very own “summer camp” between ourselves. For now we have decided on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9-11am. The benefits of this camp is, it is virtually free (we bought a few items for crafts and playing), I trust the people involved completely and Tyler gets to participate. Each day we get to drop both of our kids off with the person in charge for the day for two hours. Then at 11 when we go to pick them up, we can stick around and let them keep playing and all have lunch together.
Today was the first day and it went very well. We had a tiny bit of rain that brought us inside from our craft quickly, but the kids did great. I’m hopeful that it will continue to work and the kids will like it.

Family life is full of major and minor crises -- the ups and downs of health, success and failure in career, marriage, and divorce -- and all kinds of characters. It is tied to places and events and histories. With all of these felt details, life etches itself into memory and personality. It's difficult to imagine anything more nourishing to the soul.
