Tyler turns 2 years old on June 16th so we had a “little” family birthday party for him.

Jaxon finished his first year of school. He went 3 days a week and really loved it and the kids in his class. All year we haven’t had any play dates with class mates even though we talked about it a bunch. Now, as the year has come to an end, we finally decided to invite kids over. We had an “End of the Year” party for the whole class and even though the weather wasn’t perfect, the kids had a blast playing outside and it was nice getting to chat with the parents outside of the classroom. Some of these kids will be in Jaxon’s class next year at Village Nursery too so its nice to get to know them better.

We had nothing to do for the weekend and the forecast was for overcast days in Rancho and sunny days up in Palm Desert so we made the trek and spent the weekend.

The pool is up to 85 degrees so what better thing to do than go swimming!
Family life is full of major and minor crises -- the ups and downs of health, success and failure in career, marriage, and divorce -- and all kinds of characters. It is tied to places and events and histories. With all of these felt details, life etches itself into memory and personality. It's difficult to imagine anything more nourishing to the soul.
