Today was our “excursion” day. After another breakfast at the Kihea Cafe, we drove up to Honolua Bay to go snorkeling then into Lahaina for a bit of walking around and Hula Cookies. We headed back to the hotel for a some downtime and a shower and then headed back up to Kapalua to meet the Abbotts for dinner at Roys.

Today has been the exact relaxing day that we hoped for. We were up a bit earlier than we would have liked, but stayed resting until 6am and then got up for a workout in the hotel gym, followed by private yoga with Sara Martin on the beach, a trip to Jamba Juice and back to the beach. From 10am to 3pm we stayed on the beach with umbrellas and lounge chairs. We hung out with friends, went snorkeling and saw beautiful fish and big turtles, read books and relaxed in the Hawaii sands.
Glorious! We are on way to meet in the lobby to head into Upcountry for the rehearsal dinner. We’ll get back late but I’ll post pictures after.
Here’s what we’ve done so far.
After cleaning ourselves up a bit, we all loaded into a limo bus and headed to Upcountry for the rehearsal dinner. It took place at a Bed and Breakfast owned by friends of Eryn’s family.

Aloha! We arrived in Maui this afternoon and are staying at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea. The weather is beautiful, the water is warm, the hotel is great and we are surrounded by wonderful friends.
In an effort to change our bodies to Hawaii time, we have stayed up until now (10pm) even though we are seriously dragging. The idea being that, without children, we are free to sleep in and catch up… but we will see what our internal time clocks have to say about that.
